EMS* 103 - Emergency Medical Service Education III Credit(s): 3 Prerequisite(s): Current certification as an EMS provider. Corequisite(s): EMS* 101 and EMS* 102 . This course focuses on the administrative and evaluative processes relevant to the classroom and vocational setting. Issues, such as classroom and student discipline, instructor and student accountability, and testing reliability/validity, will be presented. Also, legal aspects of instruction, quality assurance and ways to implement theory that involve regulatory process, will be studied. Evaluation tools that provide positive student feedback, relative to student performance in both the classroom and the clinical setting will be developed and critiqued. There is a computer-based component to this course and students will need access to a computer and e-mail. Formerly listed as EMS 103, not open to students who have successfully completed EMS 103.
