CHE* 213 - Principles of Organic Chemistry I Credit(s): 3 Prerequisite(s): CHE* 122 . Corequisite(s): CHE* 213L . The student becomes versed in the bonding, formulation, and molecular shapes of organic molecules. The nomenclature, preparation, and creations of the alkanes, cycloalkanes, alkenes, alkynes, and aromatics are presented. Reaction mechanisms are given when deemed necessary. Lecture: 3 hours per week. Lab: 3 hours per week (CHE* 213L†).
