BIO* 201 - Introduction to Pathophysiology Credit(s): 3 - On Campus and Online -
Prerequisite(s): MED* 125 (formerly BOT* 180) and BIO* 115 , or permission of the Instructor or Department Chair. This course provides students with a basic understanding of pathophysiology - the study of the functional changes of systems in the human body that occur due to a disease or syndrome. This course is based on illness and disease within a systems framework across the lifespan. This course covers the basic terminology of the disease process, disease etiology, physical signs and symptoms of disease state, and an entry level understanding of diagnostic methods and treatment modalities.
